Hawks Sports Network - Athletics Communications
NOW HIRING - DEADLINE TO APPLY: Aug: 4, 2026
This position is key in publicizing select varsity sports for the Humber Department of Athletics (HDA), which has a 21-sport athletics program. Handles sports public relations, media relations, communications, and information management for assigned sports. Promotes positive branding, press coverage, strategic communications, social media, multimedia, and messaging to various constituents, using a variety of traditional and new media outlets. Constituents include prospective student-athletes; game-day attendees, alumni/ae, fans, and the College community. Works with select sports to ensure that appropriate Athletics storylines are created and communicated; statistics, schedules, rosters, game recaps and other information is communicated and created. This position greatly enhances both the external and internal image of the Department.
All HSN positions are part-time and available from mid-August to April, with work taking place primarily on weeknights and weekends during the varsity season.
Examples of available positions:
- Digital Content Creator – including, but not limited to: videographers and photographers.
- Graphic Design – create and produce content through Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
- Broadcast Crew – live-stream setup for Humber home games and provincial/national tournaments. Creating an engaging live stream for Humber fans across the country.
- Journalist - research, interview, write and report on Humber Athletics teams, student-athletes, coaches, and events. Create compelling stories, game recaps, feature articles, and news content for humberhawks.ca, while upholding journalistic standards and showcasing the Humber Hawks experience.

Gameday Operations

Humber Athletics is currently accepting applications for Varsity Operations positions for the 2026-27 varsity season.
Available opportunities include:
- Gameday setup and teardown
- In-house announcer
- Score table staff
- Statistics crew
- Shot clock operator
- Livestream support
These part-time positions run from mid-August through March and offer valuable hands-on experience in collegiate athletics and event operations. Most shifts are scheduled during evenings and weekends throughout the varsity season.
