Learn To Play

These regular 30-minute sessions will cover the basics of each sport with a student-facilitator. 

Participants will learn about sport rules, court boundaries, skill development & game play with other players of similar skill level & experience to build confidence to participatie in drop in sports or intramural leagues & tournaments. Required equipment is provided.

Participants of any skill level are welcome to participate during this time, but the focus will be on introduction to the game & skill development for beginners.  There are no gender restrictions during learn to play times, but these programs are well attended by female and non-binary participants as well as international students.

    • Badminton 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym A
    • Volleyball 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym B
  • Tuesdays
    • Volleyball 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym B
    • Basketball 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym A
  • Wednesdays
    • Pickleball 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym C
  • Thursdays
    • Women's Volleyball 9:30am-10:00am @ Gym B
    • Women's Basketball 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym B
    • Indoor Soccer/Futsal 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym A
  • Fridays
    • Indoor/Tape Ball Cricket 11:30am-12:00pm @ Gym A

Schedules are subject to change or cancellation.  Program information will be posted on Instagram @HumberNorthRec & on the digital screens inside the North Campus Athletics Centre.  Avro Mobile App, proper gym attire & footware is required to participate.  For the most up to date information, or to check "open gym" times, please contact the North Campus Athletics Centre Customer Service Desk or our Facilities website.
